Official Liability Waiver, Assumption of Risk, & Media Release Agreement
Event: UYSF – SEGA Intercontinental Yoga Ranking Sports Championship

Please read this document carefully before agreeing. By registering for and participating in this tournament, you (and your parent/guardian, if under 18) agree to the following terms:

1. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge and fully understand that participating in a yoga sports championship involves physical exertion and inherent risks of injury. I recognize that while the event management, UYSF, and SEGA have taken all reasonable steps, safety measures, and precautions to ensure a safe environment for the tournament, these physical risks cannot be entirely eliminated. I agree that my participation in all events, warm-ups, and activities during the tournament is strictly at my own risk.

2. Waiver and Release of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the UYSF, SEGA, the event management, organizers, venue owners, judges, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action. I agree that the management and organizers cannot be blamed or held legally responsible for any personal injury, property damage, medical emergencies, or any other loss that may happen to me before, during, or after the tournament, regardless of the cause.

3. Promotional and Media Release
I grant the tournament organizers full and irrevocable permission to use my submitted personal information (excluding sensitive financial data), as well as any photographs, video recordings, performance footage, or any other media captured during the event. I agree that these materials may be used by the organizers for marketing, broadcasting, promotional campaigns, social media, and future event advertising without any prior approval or financial compensation to me.

4. Medical Fitness Declaration
I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in this event, and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional.

5. Biometric Data Consent — Facial Recognition Check-In (Optional)
To make athlete check-in faster and more secure, the tournament may use a facial-recognition system. If I agree to this (by ticking the optional box below), a mathematical representation of my face — a biometric template generated from a photograph taken at registration — will be stored securely and used solely to verify my identity at this event. I understand that: (a) this template is used only for check-in and athlete identification at this tournament, and will not be sold, published, or shared with any third party; (b) this is entirely optional — if I do not consent, I may instead check in using an NFC card or my athlete ID/name, with no disadvantage; and (c) my biometric template will be permanently deleted within 30 days after the event concludes. For participants under 18, the parent/guardian's consent below governs whether this biometric processing applies.

Parent / Guardian Consent (Required for Participants Under 18 Years of Age)
If the registered participant is under the age of 18, the following applies: I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor participating in this tournament. I have carefully read and fully understand the above Liability Waiver, Assumption of Risk, and Media Release Agreement. I legally bind myself and the minor to these terms. I explicitly consent to the minor's participation in the event, agree to assume all risks associated with their participation, and agree that the management cannot be held responsible for any incidents. I also grant permission for the minor's media and information to be used for promotional purposes as outlined in Section 3. I understand that the facial-recognition processing in Section 5 applies to the minor only if I additionally tick the optional biometric box below.
